Newly Redesigned Wendy’s Opens in North Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A fast food chain is getting a little more state of the art with the grand opening of Macon’s newest Wendy’s.
The restaurant off Riverside Drive near Tom Hill Senior Boulevard officially opened on December 27. It is bigger and is completely redesigned inside and out. There are new menu items including new coffee drinks, a fresh bakery, and freestyle drink stations.
It’s one of the first new restaurants with this design in the southeast and so far, customers really like the new look.
“When they come in they’re like, ‘Wow, it doesn’t look like Wendy’s but it looks great,'” district manager Shawn Holloway said. “They’re thrilled with the TVs, we have two TVs, they’re thrilled with the fireplace, and the most common attraction is the freestyle drink station where they can choose whatever flavor of drink they want to make.
Holloway says the new design is completely customer oriented and makes it easier for guests to get their food and avoid congestion.
