New thrift store in downtown Macon benefits homeless

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – “Wear” opens on May 6th.

The boutique-style thrift store is located on First Street. The money raised will benefit Daybreak, Depaul USA’s Resource Center for the Homeless in Macon.

“This is a way that everyone can contribute to this very worthy organization. They can bring donations, they can come shop here. They can also volunteer their time here,” store manager Healtherly Wakefield said.

Wakefield is looking for volunteers. If you’re interested, contact Wakefield at heatherly.wakefield@depaulusa.org
