New Partnership Works to help Students Succeed

A historic new partnership between 3 colleges in Middle Georgia hopes to give the area an economic boost.

Today, the presidents from Central Georgia Tech, Middle Georgia Tech, and Macon State signed an agreement that will help students at the technical schools seamlessly transfer to Macon State to finish up their IT degrees.

The goal is to help increase enrollment and better position students for success.

Macon State President, Dr. Jeffery S. Allbritten, says, ” It gets down to the details and what’s in the actual course work; making sure they have the correct work that will help them when they walk in as juniors at Macon State so they don’t have to fall back and take more course work. That’s what slows people down.”

This partnership taps into the Governor’s complete College Georgia Initiative and will go into effect this coming spring semester.
