New Mascot Logo Chosen for Middle Georgia State College

KnightsMACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The updated mascot logo for the soon-to-be Middle Georgia State College has been chosen.

According to a news release, the logo was picked after two days of voting, with nearly 91% of those participating in favor of the design representing the new Knights nickname. Thanks to the input from students, staff & faculty, the logo was created by the Joe Bosack Graphic Design Company.

The logo will also incorporate the schools new colors of purple, black, silver, and grey.

Macon State and Middle Georgia College will merge in January of next year, becoming Middle Georgia State College. The new college will have campuses in Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins.

Bosack will now develop further images and logos based on the new design, which will mostly be used to further brand the sports and athletic teams of the college.

An updated institutional logo, meant to represent the educational system, is still under development.
