New Macon Police Officers Sworn In

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Six new police officers were sworn into the Macon Police Department on Friday.

Top police officials along with Macon Mayor Robert Reichert spoke at the pinning ceremony.

Ranked officers told the newcomers to serve the community with pride and integrity.

Mayor Reichert says the new officers have to be willing to commit full time to protecting the city.

The officers graduated later on Friday at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth.
