WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Air Force Reserve Command Force Generation Center has a new commander.  On Saturday, friends, family, and Air Force members came together at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins to witness Brigadier General Kelvin McElroy pass the command to Brigadier General Christopher Lay.  The ceremony marked an important transition as Lay steps into his new role following McElroy’s retirement.

Lay said, “I certainly hope to bring stability for our airmen and to represent them to our command. Also, as the Force Generation center, we are the focal point in terms of accessing our strategic reserve and mobilizing and deploying our airmen.”

The Air Force Reserve Command’s Force Generation Center plays a pivotal role in managing approximately 70,000 Air Force Reserve forces, ensuring they are trained, equipped, and ready to integrate seamlessly with active-duty and Air National Guard units worldwide.
