New Census Data: Warner Robins Growing Fast, Macon Shrinks
One Middle Georgia city saw a big increase, and another a decline in the 2010 Census results.
Warner Robins’ population is up by nearly 18,000 people- to 66,588. In 2000, the international city was at 48,804 households.
Macon saw a decline in it’s residents in that 10 years. In 2000, the city was at a population of 97,255. In the 2010 census, that number dropped to 91,351.
The state of Georgia is now the 9th most populous state in the nation- it was number 10 in 2000. The peach state now has 9,687,653 households, as opposed to 8,186,453 in 2000.
