The hospital held its 12th Annual Stroke Symposium. Discussions include the latest research, treatment and therapy for stroke.
Stroke is the fourth leading cause of death in the country.
“We just want to make sure that everyone does understand the F.A.S.T. It may not seem important, it may seem simple, but it’s back to the basics: face, arm, speech, and time,” The Medical Center, Navicent Health Program Coordinator Denise Goings said.
Additional signs and symptoms of stroke are sudden weakness on one side of the body, sudden confusion, slurred words, and a severe headache.
