Navicent Health Baldwin County celebrates opening of new ER

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After nearly seven months of remodeling, the emergency room at Navicent Health in Baldwin County is ready to serve patients.

The hospital announced that the completion of the renovations includes:

• Behavioral health rooms
• New floors throughout the waiting room and hallways
• Cosmetic Upgrades

CEO Todd Dixon says the most important change is the improvement of wait times for patients.

“We changed the process to make it quicker for our patients to see the nurses and the physicians that will be caring for them. Before, it would take up to 30 minutes to see a provider. Now, we reduce that time to about 11 minutes to see the provider, so it’s the most exciting piece of the changes we made here,” Dixon said.

The $900,000 restoration project began in August 2018. The emergency department at Navicent Health in Baldwin serves more than one hundred patients each day.
