National Champion Wrestler Visits Bibb County Schools

Today several Bibb County high school students were inspired by Anthony Robles, born with just one leg and now a national wrestling champion.

After winning the 2010-2011 NCAA wrestling title at Arizona State, Robles now tours the country talking to students about his experiences and obstacles.

“I grew up thinking that anything was possible and I wasn’t going to let the negativity of other people hold me back. I found wrestling when I was 14, wasn’t good but I loved it and just felt like that was my calling, and my life was to wrestle,” says Robles.

Robles also shared his poem titled “Unstoppable,” which was also heard during the 2011 ESPYS.

He hopes his story will show others that anything is possible.
