NASCAR Driver To Host Annual Fan Club Day On Thursday In Perry
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – NASCAR driver David Ragan, a native of Unadilla, will be hosting his annual fan club day at his automotive dealership in Perry on Thursday, August 30th from 2:30 to 6:30 pm. The event is open to everyone and will feature many celebrities including former UGA star David Greene and former Bulldog coach Ray Goff.
Ragan, driver of the #34 Front Row Motorsports Ford Fusion, will be in Perry as he returns home on the eve of NASCAR racing Labor Day Weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The winner of the 2011 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona, will be displaying his Daytona 400 trophy and his 2012 Sprint Cup Car at the dealership and inviting race fans to get in line for an autograph.
The event, held at David Ragan Ford, will also feature lots of food including that of McCall Farms, a sponsor of the #34 car with its Margaret Holmes vegetables and Peanut Patch boiled peanuts brands.

Jim Fluharty – NASCAR ILLUSTRATED magazine’s award winning photographer
David Green – University of Georgia Quarterback led to Bulldogs to a Sugar Bowl Victory in 2002 and a SEC Championship. Offensive Rookie of the year 2001, Offensive Player of the Year for the SEC in 2002. He leads the SEC all time in career yards gained and in 2005 was the 3rd round draft pick for the Seattle Seahawks.
Coach Ray Goff – University of Georgia Bulldogs head coach from 1989-1995. Goff led the Bulldogs to a 46-34-1 record. He was the SEC player of the year in 1976 and quarterback under Coach Vince Dooley from 1974-1976
Phil “The Killer” Davis – Jerry Lee Lewis’s piano player will be doing a special David Ragan Fan Club Day concert that you don’t wanna miss!
Monty Milikin – MC under the big tent at last years Racing N Revival. Monty is a singer, songwriter and musician who has written award-winning songs for the McKameys and other Southern Gospel artists.
Alex Clements – From Rochelle, Georgia is a fan favorite with his 50-60’s music. He has opened for Ricky Scaggs, Squire Parsons, JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet.
Max Hannenbaul – Displaying his ¼ midget racer. Max is 6 years old and started racing when he was 5. He races out of Lanier Speedway for the Metro Atlanta Quarter Midget Association.
Cliff Patton – Magician, ventriloquist and balloon artist
