MOVE Conference Comes To Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – More than five thousand students from more than 300 churches around the south piled into the Macon Centreplex Saturday morning.

The MOVE Conference centered around a strong Christian message.

The event featured music and skits aimed at helping students build a stronger faith.

American Idol stars Mandisa and Colton Dixon also performed.

Isaac Fineman works with Move’s partner, The Pursuit Experience, and said the atmosphere at the conference was very positive.

“With so much going on in there culture today, where youth are getting involved in the wrong thing, it’s great to be a part of something where they’re getting involved in the right thing,” said Fineman.

“We love presenting an event where kids can see godly men and women in front of them who are successful musicians and who have been on American Idol like Mandisa and Colton Dixon,” said Brian Bone. “And have stayed true to their faith. So giving them something to stand for and to rally behind.”

Bone works with the Georgia Baptist Convention as a state missionary.

He went on to say the conference wanted to create an environment that could transfer a Christian message in a fun way.
