Motorcyclist identified after fatal crash on Columbus Road

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 23-year-old man is dead after a traffic collision Thursday morning on Columbus Road, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
The crash happened around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Columbus West Drive on August 7.
Jones said a motorist driving a Ford minivan was traveling west on Columbus Road when it collided with a motorcycle traveling east. The crash occurred as the minivan was turning into a local business.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead at 9:58 a.m. Coroner Jones has identified the motorcyclist as Joseph Bradley Parham. Next of kin has been notified.
All lanes on Columbus Road were temporarily shut down during the investigation.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 478-751-7500 and request to speak with a fatality investigator.
