Mother, boyfriend indicted for murder of 5-year-old Monroe County girl
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The mother, along with her boyfriend, accused of killing her five-year-old daughter in May 2014 have been indicted by a Monroe County grand jury.
Towaliga Circuit District Attorney Richard Milam tells 41NBC Amanda Hendrickson and Roderick Buckner were indicted Tuesday.
The couple is charged with felony murder and aggravated battery in the beating death of five-year-old Heaven Woods. Her body was discovered at a home on Brookwood Drive in Forsyth.
According to an investigation with the GBI, medical examiners determined Woods died from a blow to the stomach and had several other injuries around her body.
Milam says Hendrickson and Buckner’s arraignment date is set for April 16th at 9 a.m.
