Moss Found Guilty in Shooting Death of Store Owner
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Houston County jury found Jermonatae Moss guilty in the shooting death of Mexican Food Store owner Jose Marin.
Jurors deliberated for three hours before reaching a verdict. Moss was found guilty on all 10 counts including felony murder, aggravated battery and aggravated assault.
Marin was gunned down behind Marin’s Mexican Food Store on Bowling Drive in September 2011.
Fredda Bonds was married to Marin for 13 years and said she’s just glad it’s all over.
“It’s been a long hard road,” Bonds said, “and justice has been served.”
41 NBC talked with the Moss family who declined to comment. Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday at 10 AM. Moss could face up to life in prison without the possibility for parole.
