Morning Business Report: Amazon rebounds from a tough year

Amazon is bouncing back from a tough year, beating expectations across the board. The company is spending less on warehouses and more on AI.  There are growing calls for Amazon to release Alexa devices with regional accents both in the U.S. and abroad.

Harley Davidson faced credit losses in the first quarter. The company cited a shortage of repossession agents as a major factor.

The DOW soared 524 points as U.S. stocks notch best day since January after streak of upbeat earnings.
Markets rose despite economic growth increasing less than expected for the first quarter, piling on to worries of a recession.

According to a new study, Southwest is the worst airline in the United States. WalletHub named Delta the best  airline for the second year in a row. It ranked the airlines on lost baggage, on time performance, and canceled flights among other things.

A poll of 2,000 U.S. adults found that many feel future fashion trends will include tie-dye, shirt pockets, and portrait photography. The same poll found that the best current trends in custom apparel use quotes, bright colors, or logos on the front. Branding experts say there are few things to avoid when creating designs. At the top of the list, using someone else’s image without permission and overcomplicating clothes with too many graphics or details.
