More Than 50 Seniors Learn Tips For Driving Safety

Senior citizens in Forsyth got some helpful tips for hitting the roadways.

The Forsyth Police Department teamed up with AARP to teach seniors how to stay safe in the drivers seat. Officer Bob Sanderson says as people age, their senses tend to diminish affecting not only their daily lives, but their driving as well.

“It helps them to understand how as they age their body changes, their perceptions, their reaction times, things like that change and things they can do to compensate for that,” says Officer Sanderson.

Sanderson says they hope to host another class in May.
