Moondance Rolls Through Terminal Station

The tunes rolled through Terminal Station as the Friends of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail got down at Moondance Friday night.

The evening of dancing and good music supports the organization’s mission of protecting, maintaining, and building the Ocmulgee Trail.

The Grapevine Band got the crowd moving with their big band spin on popular songs.

Moondance kicks off the “Go Green! Regatta and Riverwalk Festival”

“Tomorrow we have the Go Green! Regatta from 1 to 3 p.m. and then we’re going to have judges platform at the Moondance clearing which is right by the Spring Street Trailhead so we’re going to have six or seven different categories depending on how many people we get,” said Daniel Windham, Friends of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail Program Director.

At the Regatta contestants can go down the river on their own boat, kayak, or float. Race contestants will have transportation back to the starting line of AmersonWaterWorksPark.
