Montezuma Police: $6,000 in Stolen Goods Recovered in Burglary Bust

MONTEZUMA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Montezuma Police recovered about $6,000 in stolen merchandise after a burglary bust on Friday.

19-year-old Thomas Pike, Jr., 19-year-old Spencer Ellis, 20-year-old O’ryn Mitchell and 20-year-old Jaquiez Harris are charged with burglary and several other charges.

 On Friday, officers responded to a call at Dorsey’s Welding and Machine Shop in reference to a burglary. When authorities arrived, they noticed a trail of items leading to pick-up truck filled with the stolen goods. According to a news release from Montezuma’s Police Department, the truck was located at the home of Thomas Pike. Detectives executed a warrant and Pike was arrested and charged with burglary and manufacturing marijuana. Investigators recovered a large number of the company’s tools and small motor engine.

 Interviews and further investigation lead to arrest of Ellis, Mitchell and Harris. According to a news release from the Montezuma Police Department, additional charges are pending.
