Monroe deputies looking for two suspects after car chase

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people are still missing after leading Monroe County deputies on a chase down Highway 87.

It happened Saturday around 9:00 p.m. The spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said the person behind the wheel kept driving after deputies tried to pull him or her over for a traffic stop. The case ended in Butts County after the car crashed. Four people jumped out of the car and ran away from deputies. One man and one woman have been arrested.

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies along with the Butts County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol are still searching for the other two suspects.
