Monroe County teaches teens safe driving
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Teenagers from the ages of 15 to 17 got a hands on experience on learning how to be safe drivers.
There were multiple simulators to show teens the effects of drunk driving and not wearing a seatbelt.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, Allison Selman-Willis, said these lessons will help the teens become better drivers. This in turn creates a safer driving experience for everyone on the road.
Selman-Willis said this event would not have been possible without the help from all the volunteers who took time out of their Saturday to teach these teens.
