Monroe County School Board Votes to Consolidate Middle Schools

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Tonight, after months of discussion, the Monroe County School Board votes to consolidate the middle schools. The process will begin at the start of the 2012/2013 school year.

Even after weeks of open forums and discussion, some parents feel uneasy about the decision to combine the middle schools. Sheila Stark, who’s daughters are in fifth and seventh grade, says the school board didn’t make good on their promise to bring more information to tonight’s meeting.
