Monroe County Residents Will Vote On Sunday Alcohol Sales

Monroe County will soon see Sunday alcohol sales on the ballot. Currently, the unincorporated areas of the county aren’t allowed to sell packaged alcohol on Sundays.

Chairman James Vaughn of the Monroe County Commission says, Commissioner Joe Proctor brought the issue to the table at the last meeting. The commission voted to pass it on to the voters.

Residents of High Falls, like Carol Davison, would like to see the law pass, “To be able to pick up a beer while we’re here would be great and not have to go to Jackson.”
