Monroe County Residents Say YES to Penny Tax

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Monroe County residents also hit the polls over a penny tax, and they, too, voted yes.

67% are in favor of this SPLOST, and 33% said no. Monroe County’s $30 million tax will fund water and sewage projects, emergency system upgrades, and a civic center for business development,
among other plans.
