Monroe County Man Ejected, Dies in Truck Crash

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 46-year-old man is dead after the truck he was driving left the roadway, flipped and ejected him.

It happened on Highway 42 near the Towaliga Bridge. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Bobby Deaton was driving northbound when his white Dodge pickup truck left the road, drove up an embankment and overturned several times.

Deaton was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators have not said what caused the crash.
