Monroe Co. Law Enforcement Conducts Massive Drug Bust; 31 Arrested

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Local law enforcement began the strike yesterday, dubbing it operation flush ’em out.

31 people were targeted in this investigation that began in May of last year.At that time, investigators were given information about a drug trafficking and distribution ring inside the city of Forsyth and Monroe County.

Law enforcement went in armed with more than 70 arrest warrants which contained more than 800 counts. Officers swept the area over the last two days, landing dozens of suspects behind bars.

Some of the agencies that assisted in the sweep include the Forsyth Police Department, the Monroe and Bibb Country Sheriff’s offices, the GBI, the US marshals office, and several more. These suspects are being held at the monroe county sheriff’s office for booking and processing
