Mom to Mom: Acorn donut holes
(41NBC/WMGT) — Today we are making acorn donut holes, that really involves no baking, you just go to the store, get some donut holes, wax paper, pretzels, some sprinkles, some icing, and I mean, that’s a pretty simple snack. So we like to celebrate the beginning of fall and it’s a great activity for your kiddos to do. If you’re ready, we’re going to show you how to put these acorn donut holes together.
What you want to do is take your donut holes, then take your pretzels and kind of break off a little of the pretzels, and stick them into the top of the donut holes. Once you’ve done that, you’ll want to melt your chocolate just maybe 5, 10 seconds, then you’re going to take the donut holes and dip them into your chocolate, kind of get nice and coating about halfway in there, then you’re going to dip it into your autumn sprinkles. Once you’ve completed that, you stick it on your parchment paper or wax paper and keep doing that until you get the desired amount.
If you wanted to try and cool them down quicker, it’s recommended that you pop them into the freezer for just a little bit but the result ends up being something tasty!
