Missing 81-year-old woman found safe

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing elderly woman last seen early Monday morning.

UPDATE: According to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office,  Sarah Newby Calhoun has been located and is safe with her family. She has been removed from NCIC as a missing person.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT-DT)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing elderly woman last seen early Monday morning.

Deputies say 81-year-old Sarah Newby Calhoun was last seen shortly after 3:00 a.m. leaving her residence in the 4400 block of Chambers Road. Investigators say Calhoun has not returned home since.

Calhoun is described as a Black female, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray jacket and Christmas-themed pajamas.

Anyone with information on Calhoun’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office immediately or call 911.
