Miss America Organization changing lives in Middle Georgia, looking ahead to princess tea party

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Miss America Organization is changing lives in Middle Georgia. Brooke Marshall and Mary Margaret Cooper are part of the organization and believe the opportunity has given them a platform to share their passions.
Marshall is Miss Central Georgia, and her service initiative is “Spread Your WINGS.” Her platform promotes inclusion, nurtures growth and supports neurodiversity. She says she has earned more than $65,000 in college scholarships through the Miss America Organization.
Cooper is Miss Central Georgia’s Teen, and her community service initiative is “Know Your Worth.” Her platform focuses on uplifting, motivating and empowering preteen girls to know their value.
Marshall and Cooper will join Miss Macon Autumn Knight and Miss Macon’s Teen Hannah Shaw at the 15th annual Mentors and Manners Princess Tea Party. The event will be held May 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Historic Hay House.
The tea party is for boys and girls ages 5 to 12. The event will include refreshments, a meet-and-greet, photos with the dignitaries, and a lesson on the importance of community service and manners.
The cost for attendees is $50, which includes a tiara or crown, sash, certificate and favors. Adult tickets are $30 and include refreshments and favors. Tickets for Miss America titleholders are $20. All proceeds benefit the Miss Macon scholarship fund. The deadline to register is May 10, and space is limited.
