Milledgeville residents plan to file more ethics complaints
MILLEDGEVILL, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Some Milledgeville residents plan to file two more ethics complaints.
City Council member, Denese Shinholster, said as of now, the council plans to follow the ordinance requiring the board to appoint the ethics committee. Shinholster added if Mayor Richard Bentley says they can have a third party involved in appointing the ethics board, they will take a vote at their next meeting.
Some Milledgeville citizens believe this is a conflict of interest because the ethics committee would make a decision on the complaint filed against the majority of City Council.
