Milledgeville man running from authorities for month caught
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Federal authorities and the Milledgeville Police Department arrested a man wanted for armed robbery who has been on the run almost a month.
According to the Milledgeville Police Department’s Facebook page, 26-year-old Christopher Jesse Brown was taken into custody around 8 p.m. Wednesday by the United States Marshal’s Service Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force and MPD detectives.
Brown was wanted for armed robbery, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, and hijacking a car. While running from authorities, he was considered “armed and extremely dangerous.”
According to 41NBC’s past reports, Brown went on a crime spree between April 24 and May 1.
MPD credits the Georgia State Patrol, the Department of Corrections K9 Unit, and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for helping catch Brown.
