Milledgeville couple dies in apparent murder-suicide
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An elderly Milledgeville couple is dead after a shooting on Baywood Drive Wednesday night.
Baldwin Coroner John Gonzalez said 65-year-old Ola Steele and Will Steele were both found with gunshot wounds to the chest.
Ola was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:05 p.m.
Her body will be taken to the crime lab in Macon Friday morning, according to Gonzalez.
Will was taken to Oconee Regional Medical Center and then transferred to the Medical Center, Navicent Health.
He was pronounced dead at 1:19 a.m.
Captain Brad King with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office said it appears to be a “domestic dispute gone horribly wrong.”
The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is still reviewing evidence, but investigators believe this was a murder-suicide.
