Mild afternoons and chilly nights

Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s not going to feel much like December this afternoon. The mornings will, but the afternoons? Not so much.

Rain stays to the east of us and is expected to move northeast and along the coast, so don’t worry about any of that. For us, high pressure keeps the weather sunny, but expect highs to be far above the average.

Average temps today:

High: 62
Low: 38

Forecasted temps:

High: 69
Low: 38

The record high for today is 79, so we won’t come close to that. And honestly, that’s pushing it for December.

With high pressure the main factor for this week, expect mild afternoons in the upper 60s/low 70s this week. By Wednesday overnight into Thursday, morning lows will get milder as well with lows in the 40s throughout all of Middle Georgia. For tonight and tomorrow night, overnight lows will be seasonably cold in the upper 30s.
