Midnight Basketball makes its way back to Macon

Midnight basketball ended in 2005. Macon-Bibb commissioners met on Tuesday and decided to bring the program back.

“I believe their will be some positive outcomes as it relates to reduce crime,” says Commissioner Virgil Watkins Jr.

Midnight basketball is scheduled to begin sometime in October. Games will begin at 9pm and end around 1am.

Watkins adds he plan on having some of the games at many of the recreation facilities, along with local churches.
