Middle Georgia Woman Told She’d Never Walk Again, Now Running in Marathon
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Every time Stephanie Freeman’s shoes hit he pavement, she’s defying the odds. After a bad car accident, doctors told the Wilcox County native she’d never walk again. But this weekend, Freeman ran a half-marathon at the Museum of Aviation.
1n 1993, she suffered a brain injury and was in a coma for two months after the accident.
“When I came out, I didn’t know how to walk,” Freeman said, “I was in a wheelchair and they told me I would never walk again.”
