21st annual Kid’s Fishing Derby
Start your Saturday at Javor Lucas Lake in Jones County, where the Macon Water Authority and Macon Water Alliance are hosting the 21st Annual Kid’s Fishing Derby. Registration opens at 7 a.m., fishing starts at 7:30, and awards are presented at 11 a.m. The event is free for children ages 3 to 16, and more than 500 attendees are expected at this lively community tradition.

Cirque Italia Water Circus brings dazzling spectacle to Dublin
If you’re looking for a show-stopping performance, check out the Cirque Italia Water Circus at the Dublin Civitan Fairgrounds. There will be acrobats, jugglers and clowns. The circus runs Friday through Monday, with ticket prices ranging from $10 to $50. Families can take advantage of a special deal: one free child admission with every full-priced adult ticket in Levels 2 or 3.

Downtown Macon hosts Fair Food Frenzy
Craving something tasty? Head to downtown Macon on Friday for the Fair Food Frenzy during Friday Friday festivities! From Noon to 11:45 p.m., participating local businesses will offer creative fair-themed food and drink specials. Try a Bubble Wand with Powdered Sugar at Hello Boba Cafe, loaded chicken nachos from Macon Water Ice, churro fries at Sweet Eleanor’s or a Nutella funnel cake ice cream sandwich at Just Tap’d.

Downtown glows with Art After Dark
Also on Friday, Fall Line’s third annual Art After Dark festival lights up downtown Macon from 7 to 11 p.m. This neon-lit, festival-style art experience transforms the city into a glowing playground of creativity, featuring illuminated, interactive and one-of-a-kind works by local artists and vendors. Highlights include live glass blowing, fire performers, a live DJ, glowing drinks and the Glow Roll—a nighttime bike ride led by Bike Tech Macon. Deck out your bike in glow-in-the-dark gear and light up the city as you ride!

Dance the night away at Late Nite
If you’re 30 or older and looking to hit the dance floor Saturday without staying out too late, check out Late Nite’s Early Bird Grown Folks Party from 6 to 9 p.m. Dance to the best hits from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s with friends—cover is $5 per person or $7 with a card.

And for those ready to keep the party going, Late Nite is also hosting Latin Nite on Friday. DJ Kiké will be spinning downstairs, while Laylo the DJ rocks the VIP upstairs. Guests must be at least 18 to enter and 21 to drink.
