Middle Georgia Wants Music Hall of Fame to Stay
Middle Georgians and community leaders aren’t sure how much time they’ll have left to visit the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, but one thing’s for sure — they would hate to see it go.
“It’s a shame that Central Georgia can’t support it, at least we have a history of not supporting it.”
Steve Lindsey and his son Emory spent the afternoon touring the Music Hall of Fame. Emory is a sixth grader at First Presbyterian Day School and plays both the cello and trombone. It was the first time visiting the museum for both the father and son.
“People can come look and learn…so maybe we can have more musicians in the world,” said Emory.
Local officials and members of the community say this is becoming more about dollars and cents, than it is about actually saving the halls.
