Middle Georgia State Starts Season with Win at OC Tech
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (MGSC RELEASE) – The Middle Georgia State College Knights opened the football season against OC Tech in Orangeburg, SC on Saturday with a 28-13 win. The Knights move to 1-0 on the season and in conference play.
QB Kion Button went 10 for 20 for 130 yards and one touchdown through the air and added 16 yards and one score on the ground while the defense got an outstanding performance from Dominique Jordan with seven tackles including four for loss and three sacks.
The defense forced three interceptions and four fumbles on the day while only turning the ball over twice with one fumble and one interception.
The Knights will take on the Fort Benning Doughboys on September 14 at 1 p.m. at Bonaire Middle School. It will be Military Appreciation Day and anyone with their military ID will get in free.
