Middle Georgia Regional Library encouraging residents to sign up for library card

Marketing Coordinator at the Middle Georgia Regional Library, Andrew Willis, says nearly 50% of residents have a library card and they are hoping to increase that number.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Middle Georgia Regional Library is encouraging the community to sign up for a library card during the month of September.

Marketing Coordinator at the Middle Georgia Regional Library, Andrew Willis, says nearly 50% of residents have a library card and they are hoping to increase that number.

Willis says that the library offers more than just books. Members of the library have access to e-books, audio books, movies, passes to local attractions, and more.

Willis says that members can access multiple resources through the Palace Project eLibrary App. According to Willis, before the Palace Project, members had to register for multiple online platforms to access the full range of digital content offered by Middle Georgia Regional Library.

The library is also hosting a Passport to PINES campaign. Members can complete 5 of the tasks on the passport and get a sticker or they can complete 10 tasks for an entry into a drawing. The winner of the drawing will win a Kindle.
