Middle Georgia Chick-fil-A Restaurants Host Food Drive
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Nearly a dozen Chick-fil-A restaurants hosted food drives to help keep local food banks stocked.
The participating restaurants encouraged community members and customers to bring at least two non-perishable food items in exchange for a free breakfast of their choice.
“We’re doing it because we really support Chick-fil-A, they have similar beliefs to us…it makes me feel like I’m a part of something bigger,” said Josh Barker.
All of the participating restaurants collected a total of more than 4,500 cans at the initial food drive just last week.
Marketing Manager Lexa Floyd said, It’s awesome, Chick-fil-A loves giving, it’s all about the emotional connection, this is a great event for us.”
According to Floyd, both the Eisenhower Parkway and Zebulon locations each collected more than 550 cans during the first food drive.
