MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The Douglass Theatre, Ruth Hartley Mosely Memorial Women’s Center and Tubman Museum are coming together once again to celebrate Women’s History Month with the Central Georgia Women of Impact Awards Ceremony & Reception.

For the second year, the event will honor women making a significant impact on Central Georgia communities through ambition, action and achievement.

“Three local institutions that represent African American culture coming together to celebrate women highlights how we as leaders are working to be more collaborative and inclusive across the community,” said Dr. Shelton Land, executive director of the Douglass Theatre. “And what better way to showcase this than celebrating the women—our Sheroes—who continue to make a difference.”
