MGSC Knights On Track to 2nd Consecutive National Title

COCHRAN, Georgia (MGSC RELEASE) – Middle Georgia State College’s football club has finished their regular season with a perfect 10-0 record and have held the number 1 ranking in the National Club Football Association (NCFA) for 8 straight weeks. They will host the South Atlantic Conference Championship game on Saturday, November 23 at 3 p.m. at Bleckley County High Stadium in Cochran, GA. A win will put them in the NCFA National Championship game on December 7 in Salem, VA.

The Knights are led by second year coach Dustan Jump who led the team to the Intercollegiate Club Football Federation (ICFF) Championship in 2012, the program’s first year. In the first year at Middle Georgia State College the team has rolled off 10 straight wins including three prep schools who each have players that will be playing at NCAA Division I schools next year.

The team has many players that came to the program this year with the opportunity to play and are not being looked at by other colleges to come play the 2014 season at the DI or DII level. The Knights are loaded with area and Georgia talent. Below are some of the team leaders and their schools:

The Knights are now poised to take the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) title for the second straight year and will play one of three teams depending on other conference matchups this coming weekend. Come support the Knights at 3 p.m. at Bleckley County High Stadium at 242 E Dykes St in Cochran Saturday. Admission is free for MGSC students, faculty, and staff. Kids 10 & under are free and all others are $5 for general admission.
