The Methodist Home has a new children’s center opening

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Methodist Home will open a new children’s center this summer.

Eagle’s Nest Children’s Center had a ground breaking ceremony Friday morning.

The new center will be twice as big as the current children’s center.

Lonnie Bivins, President of Facilities at the Methodist Home, said the current center has been open for more than 20 years.

“We’re a very good daycare. We’ve just not had a very good building. What this is going to do is add one of the nicest buildings to, we believe in the city and a beautiful daycare facility, so we can take care of our kids in a class a fashion,” Bivins said.

Bivins said the Methodist Home is fundraising to pay for the daycare center.
