Mercer University expanding its campus in Macon
Construction on several of the new buildings are being done simultaneously. The building project includes the Lofts at Mercer on Mercer University Drive, which will house more than 300 students. The Lofts at College Hill on Hardeman Avenue will have space for about 200 new freshmen.
“Over the past four years our under graduate population has grown by about 40 percent and so we’re adding additional food service options and we’re adding parking,” says Mercer University Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communication Chief of Staff, Larry Brumley.
Mercer University is also renovating Willingham Hall to create additional office space.
The “Lofts at College Hill”, and Willingham Hall will be completed this fall.
The “Lofts at Mercer” will be completed in the fall of next year.
