Mercer University’s ‘Building the Beloved Community’ symposium begins Tuesday

All events are free and open to the public, although you will have to RSVP for meals.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mercer University is getting ready for the 19th annual Building the Beloved Community symposium.

According to a news release, the event will feature talks and panels and will include a keynote address from Dr. Christina Edmondson, an anti-racist advocate, educator and author.

Special guest Dr. Woody Register will also speak.

All events are free and open to the public, but you will have to RSVP for meals.

The keynote address starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the President’s Dining Room at University Center.

Wednesday’s talks start at 8:30 a.m. with a prayer breakfast at Centenary Church’s Fellowship Hall.
