Mercer University to begin construction on new science center

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mercer University will build a new 44 million dollar undergraduate science center on campus.

The board of trustees approved it Friday morning.

The Spearman C. Godsey Science Center includes 60 teaching and research labs, classrooms, lecture halls and offices.

It’ll be between the school of medicine and Willet Science Center.

It should be done by December 2017.
