Mercer Third Through One Day at Brickyard Collegiate

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Mercer Bears golf team is in third place through Day 1 of the Brickyard Collegiate Championship at the Brickyard at Riverside.

Georgia Tech leads the 14-team field at 6 under par.  Virginia Tech is second at -5, the Bears are third at -4, South Florida is fourth at -2 and Louisville is fifth at +1.

Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Regents University, Furman and Georgia State round out the top ten.

For the Bears, Emmanuel Kountakis leads the way at -4.
