Mercer Police increase security for Northside High football game
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mercer University will work with the Warner Robins Police Department for Friday night’s Northside High School football game.
Mercer Police Chief Gary Collins tells 41NBC there will be additional officers at the game which will be played at Mercer University Stadium. This decision comes after a student-teacher fight at Northside High on Monday. The fight sparked online threats of a school shooting, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.
Chief Collins says safety is a top priority for Mercer University Police.
The Northside game against Allatoona starts 7:30 p.m.
