Mercer men’s hoops picks up first SoCon victory to extend home winning streak to seven
The Bears improve to 1-2 in conference play and will host Wofford Saturday
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Mercer men’s basketball team improved to 9-7 overall on the season with a 101-63 victory over Southern Conference opponent The Citadel on Wednesday.
This was the first SoCon win of the season for the Bears after they lost their first two SoCon road games by a combined eight points. This home win improved their record to 7-0 overall at Hawkins Arena so far this season.
The Bears prepare for more conference play at home Saturday as Wofford comes to town. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
