Mercer Men’s Basketball Game Schedule Changed

MACON, Ga. (MERCER RELEASE) – Due to recent inclement weather in the southeast, the Mercer men’s basketball team’s home games against Lipscomb and Northern Kentucky have changed dates.

Originally scheduled for Thursday and Saturday, the games will now occur on Friday and Sunday. Friday evening’s game against Lipscomb will tipoff at 7 p.m. while Sunday’s contest against Northern Kentucky is slated for a 2 p.m. start.

Travel plans for both Lipscomb and Northern Kentucky were altered when an ice storm began moving through Georgia on Wednesday morning. The change also affects Kennesaw State, who will now play Northern Kentucky on Friday evening and Lipscomb on Sunday afternoon in Kennesaw.

Two weeks ago, Mercer’s road games at East Tennessee State and USC Upstate were switched from the typical Thursday-Saturday format to Friday-Sunday games. Next week, Mercer will also play on Friday-Sunday schedule as the Bears open a weekend trip through the Sunshine State on ESPNU at Florida Gulf Coast.
